ABOUT ME
For as long as I can remember, I have always loved to draw. I would often create illustration and sketches of characters from my favourite movies, characters I made up and pictures of my toys.

Drawing helps me to express myself. I often have stories in my head that I can’t put into words, so I draw it out to bring my ideas to life. Drawing also helps me express how I feel. Being autistic, it can be difficult to explain my thoughts verbally or understand my feelings. Drawing helps me communicate with others and understand myself.

In my art I like to explore themes such as autism, Franco-Ontarian culture and childhood in order to bring awareness, celebrate my culture and be in touch with my inner child.

I mostly draw pencil sketches, make edits on Photoshop and I have created a few mosaic peices, but I am also exploring mediums such as painting and digital art. I also really enjoy photography and it is something I do in my free time.

My love for art has pushed me to take art lessons at school and at an art studio. I took both traditional art, where I learned how to sketch, create mosaics and paint, and media art where I learned how to use Photoshop, make/edit videos, and edit sounds to make a sound peice. I also had a co-op at said art studio where I had the opportunity to sell pieces in a silent auction.

I have created this portfolio in order to showcase my work in hopes that it will be an asset for my future job.
